'The Barking Crab' one fine Sunday

After a night on the Cape and celebration mass for my buba on Saturday, I was back up to Boston by Saturday night at 7pm. Got a parking spot right on our street and Dan and I unpacked groceries from my quick trip to Stop & Shop.
We sound ourselves talking up a storm, enjoying some red wine, cheese and crackers.
After a wonderful evening with Dan, some much needed QT, we were up early on Sunday morning ready to head out and explore a new part of the city together and look for some new running shoes! Many a shoe stores later, we were down by the wharfs and waterfront of Boston. The day was bright, sunny, and a little chilly. We were fascinated by a nautical store with many old ship compasses, wheels, and gorgeous model sailboats.
We found ourselves at the Barking Crab for a seafood lunch that was SO GOOD! We each enjoyed an afternoon brew and shared some appetizers; fried clam bellies (Dan's new favorite thing in the northeast), fried oysters and a bowl of delicious chowder. This will be our new favorite spots to take our friends.
We were back at the apartment on time for Dan to head to work the night shift at the bar and for me to relax and get ready for the work week ahead.
So thankful for such a wonderful Sat./Sunday that I had to recall it.
