Easter Sunday started off with Dan and I heading to Somerville, a town right outside Boston in search of our new place to live come September. Somerville, right next to Cambrige is a cute little town. Lots of fun places to eat, dive bars and a relaxed artistic feel. So many people out of this beautiful Easter Sunday in their pastels!
After our exploration we headed home by 2pm so Dan could eat, shower and get ready for work. I packed him a Kielbasa sub with his homemade sour kraut and fixed us a toasted ham, turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch with apples and peanut butter.
Jenn Ferrara soon called to ask if I wanted to join her and her friend, Nick from Australia for dinner and to head down to fenway to check out opening day.
WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! Fenway was packed, the streets were flooded with Red Sox fans galore...In that moment I truly embrassed the meaning and feeling of what it finally meant to be home in Red Sox Nation. It was amazing to see a city come together to faithfully root on their team, ohhh baseball in America. One would be happy to know that Nick assured us that Australia pulls for the Red Sox vs. 'you know who!'
Opening night was Sox vs. Yankees 2010, final score Bo Sox WIN : )
Our night ended with a martini at Bouchee and a few appetizers. Not just any appetizers, escargot, mussels and flat bread! Jenn, yes, Boston Jenn had never had mussels or escargot so we were in for a treat, so was she!...and we documented this moment via pixels.
